Cafe Zur Schmiede in Simmerath

We sat outside wonderfully in October and were provided with blankets, fur and heaters. The dishes we ate (Kaiserschmarrn, pork knuckle) were consistently delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. Recommendable!

Totally great. Room was very neat and super clean. Nice bathroom and balcony overlooking the Eifel. Breakfast was perfect and the friendliness was more than perfect. Many 4-star hotels can learn something from this. An absolute must, for a few wonderful days in the Eifel. And when you order a cup of coffee with a piece of the delicious cakes, you really don't have to eat anymore. That's how big the pieces are! ?

Nice bistro location on the street. Large, covered outdoor area. Very nice service. There are mainly burgers and tarte flambée. Burgers were delicious. The portions plentiful.

I was here with my wife and it was all great. We have a delicious tarte flambée and I had one of the famous Schmiede burgers ... very, very tasty. Nice atmosphere and a super young and friendly team. Bistro was very clean and made a very neat impression. There is still love in the details here. Gladly over and over again.

A completely normal cafe. From my point of view, there is little atmosphere like tourist cafes are created

This was my first time there for a cocktail evening on the recommendation of friends and haven't looked back. Table reserved easily and extra requests were implemented. Very nice atmosphere. Delicious cocktails and pizza.

Good burgers but waiting too long (over an hour)

We ate here last night and loved it. This time we were traveling with a small group of 9 people and were served very quickly. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, big burgers, delicious tarte flambée and great homemade cakes and ice cream for dessert. Despite the larger group, the meal didn't take long and everything was perfect. Thank you for the great evening with you. Great team. We will be back.

In the centre of the eifel. Nat. Park. Good Spot for outdoors. Right next to the bar which stays open late on Saturday.

Pension: Very clean, modern and well-kept rooms. Designed with great attention to detail and prepared for the guest. From the equipment rather hotel than pension. Friendly room handover. Breakfast for a fair surcharge in the café available. Price - performance ratio very good. As a guest you feel welcome and in good hands.

Schnitzel was okay, at least it was freshly pounded & breaded. However, selling a relatively small schnitzel with exactly 6 croquettes, salad and cola for almost 14 € is very steep.
